The Water Operators' Partnership (WOP) between PDAM Tirtanadi, Medan, Indonesia and Indah Water Konsortium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), which as facilitated by USAID through ECO-Asia - Waterlinks, was to increase the number of households connecting to Medan's city sewerage system by promoting sanitation using USAID's 10‑Step Promotion Programme Toolkit and staff training.
The Water Operators' Partnership (WOP) between Water Supply and Sewerage Authority of Ulaanbaatar City (USUG), Mongolia, and Vitens Evides International, Netherlands, which was facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands through its Directorate‑General for International Cooperation, was to to improve USUG’s operations and help it develop into an autonomous and financially sustainable water utility, using capacity building, exchange visits, help with master plans, geographical information systems, wastewater management, water quality monitoring and more.
The Water Operators' Partnership (WOP) between Bulawayo City Council, Zimbabwe, and )eThekwini Water and Sanitation, City of Durban, South Africa, which was facilitated by the Australian Agency for International Development, World Vision and Department of Trade and Industry, South Africa, was to reduce the vulnerability to waterborne diseases through improved sewerage, water supply systems, capacity-building and hygiene promotion in Bulawayo City, as well as put in place short, medium and long-term plans to secure investment and ensure sustainability.
