To celebrate the work and impact of GWOPA members worldwide, we are launching a Photo Competition to select the cover image for the upcoming GWOPA 2025 Annual Report.
We invite members of the Alliance to submit powerful photographs that capture the spirit of Water Operators’ Partnerships, cooperation and progress toward SDG 6 (access to clean water and safely managed sanitation for all).
What Images Are We Looking For?
We are seeking high-quality, impactful images that showcase:
- Water and sanitation services in action
- Collaboration between water operators and partners
- Field work, infrastructure and technical cooperation
- Communities benefiting from improved water and sanitation services
- Innovation, capacity development and peer-to-peer learning
- Human stories behind water utilities
- Reflect diversity of regions, people and partnerships
Photos should be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi, 3000 pixels on the longest side, at least 1 MB).
Photos must not bear any script, text or markings.
Who Can Submit?
The competition is open to all GWOPA members, both individual and institutional.

- Photo featured on the front cover of the GWOPA Annual Report
- Sponsorship to attend the GWOPA Assembly and the 13th edition of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan, 17-22 May 2026
Runner-Up Photos
- Selected images will be featured in the Annual Report
- Published with photo credit and caption
