Site visits
On the 1st day, a visit to K-water head office was given, with the welcome reception by the Director following a briefing of the partnership and the visit objectives and the information the Lam Dong staff is interested in to gather during the sites visits in the next days.

On the 2nd day: a site visit to Jin-an, Jang-su & Jang-gye WWTPs:Presentation at the Yongdam Dam Branch office (in Korean) to overview wastewater management and treatment in the basin; There overall in the basin are 79 treatment plants, include 2 plants of 2,000 m3/day, 2 plants of 3,000 m3/day and other 75 plants of 300-500 m3/days, to response to requirements of water resources and river basin protection; The team has visited Jin-an Plant 3,000 m3/d capacity with SBR technology (another plant 3,000 m3/d capacity also with SBR technology), Jang-gye plant 2,000 m3/day with modified A2O technology and Jang-su plant 2,000 m3/day with Oxydization Ditch (OD) technology; All plants have final sand filter after secondary settling tanks, some has advanced treatment for phosphorus removal, and all have disinfection by UV lamps before discharge to receiving bodies thus effluent is extremely clean and safe; Sludge is treated by chemical and pressing then sale for cement industry;A Central remote control centre (SCADA) for all 79 plants is located in Jin-an. Data of controlled parameters is real-time connected and visible to the national regulator;

On the 3rd day: visit to Chil-gok and Dae-jeon WWTPs:-Chil-gokis a complex of WWTP, WW recycling, compost and food-waste treatment, by other; -WWTP has 20,000m3/day capacity with A2O following aeration tank (activated sludge) technology; part of effluent goes for further advanced treatment for recycling for industrial water supply and remaining is discharged
