Project description
Enhancing Utility Performance for Increased Customer Satisfaction (EPICS)
Project main objectives
"this WOP aims to increase inclusive, sustainable universal access to WASH in selected small towns in the Eastern Region of Uganda. It will address systemic blockages of water and public sanitation service delivery, increase water supply services to low-income areas, improve efficiency and quality of water and public sanitation services by developing standard operating procedures (SOPS), create three model schemes to provide prototypes for sustainable utility management for small town schemes, and improve energy efficiency and reduce reliance on carbon based fuels through system optimisation and the adoption of solar pumping. The WOP will also strengthen the capacity and commitment of the partners to engage in WOPs beyond this programme.
