The 2nd Global Water Operators' Partnerships (GWOPA) Assembly take place on Sunday, 17 May 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The Assembly is an important moment for GWOPA members and partners to come together, align efforts and help shape the path towards the 2026 UN Water Conference – accelerating momentum to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6.

The GWOPA Assembly will be part of World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13), taking place from 17 to 22 May 2026 in Baku, in an in-person and hybrid format. Assembly sessions will be held prior to the official WUF opening, so that it can feed into the broader urban policy discussions of the forum.
The Assembly will discuss GWOPA’s new Strategy 2026–2030, aligned with UN-Habitats’ Strategy for the same period. GWOPA members will set the Assembly agenda through online preparatory meetings. The Secretariat will share more information on this and the Assembly program shortly.

Stakeholder consultation in preparation for WUF13
The WUF Secretariat has opened a dedicated track for basic service providers, including water and sanitation utilities, creating additional spaces for engagement and ensuring these voices are heard.
