Project description
Nakuru still has very low coverage levels for water and sanitation. The root causes for the low coverage are (1) lack of water resources (2) insufficient funding for large-scale water and sanitation infrastructure investments (3) poor (but improving) performance of Water Service Providers. For this purpose, the WaterWorX programme created partnerships between Vitens Evides International (VEI) and Nakuru Rural Water and Sanitation Company(NARUWASCO), Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company(NAWASSCO), Naivasha Water and Sanitation Services (NAIVAWASS) respectively with a shared budget.
