A high-level preparatory meeting for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, convened by the Government of Senegal, will take place in Dakar on 26–27 January 2026. The meeting forms a central milestone in shaping the agenda and preparations for the Conference, scheduled for December 2026.
The Dakar meeting will advance discussions across the six themes endorsed for the Conference’s interactive dialogues and support alignment among Member States, partners and stakeholders engaged in the global water agenda.
