Project main objectives
"
The expected results are:
• ONAS staff are trained: the training is understood face-to-face in the classroom for theoretical aspects; and on-site for practical aspects and direct applications in the field. The trainings will deal with technical topics related to the management of the liquid sanitation service (inspection and maintenance of sanitation networks, operation of facilities...)
• Sanitation systems: improved and controlled
• Sanitation service: better organized and optimized
• The organization: adapted and efficient
• The population: living, hygiene and health conditions improved by access to adapted sanitation services that are controlled and sustainable
• Floods: mitigated
• The environment: limited pollution impacts
To achieve these results, the lead partner will provide the necessary capacity-building assistance, which will result in the production of certain deliverables such as:
• Procedures and working methods
• Organizational and management repositories
• Quality assurance standards for an efficient sanitation service
• Protocols for inspecting sewerage systems
• The introduction of an effective approach to training engineering..."
