Describe WOPs activities
April 2011
two key representatives from the Las Vegas Valley Water District visited Cebu to initiate its partnership with the Metropolitan Cebu Water District. In the 3-day visit, Las Vegas conducted a rapid assessment of Cebu's pumping operations and data management, and trained more than 15 Cebu staff on short-term energy savings techniques; the partners also discussed a draft work plan framework for the 12-month partnership and formalized the partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Cebu is identifying a zone to pilot energy reduction activities.
