Project description
This WOP consisted mostly on visits of Moroccan delegations to the SIAAP facilities in Paris.
Project main objectives
The objective was to train technical and managerial staffs on operations of sanitation systems and sanitation construction sites. More specifically, the thematic addressed were waste water treatment processes, flow
management, microbiology, waste water treatment facilities and disturbances, and protection and
follow-up of natural environment.
Most significant results
Instrumentation of the sanitation services. The central laboratory improved substantially its technical skills. For instance, six key laboratory operators trained in SIAAP on waste water sampling have led training of technicians in Morocco. The knowledge transfer domino effect has been very valuable for regional staff and has increased their motivation to take on new responsibilities.
