Project description
The WOP between EMAX in Guatemala and the City Council of Zaragoza was established in May 2014 for a duration of 24 months with the objective to strengthen the capacity of the mentee in the areas of water loss control and metering. Initial results of this partnership have been promising.
Project main objectives
Laying the groundwork for a fruitful collaboration between the Zaragoza City Council (Spain) and the Municipality of Quetzaltenango (Guatemala) in order to provide support and technical assistance to EMAX.

The main objective of this WOP is to strengthen the technical capacity of EMAX in the following areas:
• Detection and leakage control
• Calibration and implementation of a telemetry system
• Financial sustainability
